Meet the owner and team from Intermountain Construction, Inc. Our team works together to evaluate each prospective project, we focus on the individual needs of the Owner and the project versus the specific array of skills, expertise, and services we offer, which are on the cutting edge of excellence.

Derek Wright

Vice President

Having been with Intermountain Construction since 1987, Derek came to Intermountain with previous construction experience and an engineering degree from M.I.T. Derek worked as a Superintendent in the field for several years and knows construction from the ground up. Derek’s projects have been primarily with the Federal Government and on those projects that would most benefit from Derek’s technical expertise and organization.

Holly Peterson

Controller / Bookkeeper

Holly was born and raised in Southeastern Idaho and joined the Intermountain Construction team in 1990. She was hired as an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist which has evolved into her current position as Administrative / Office Manager and the voice of Intermountain Construction. In her free time, Holly enjoys camping, motorcycle riding with her husband, reading, and spending time with family, friends, and her beloved pets. Her motto in life is “there’s no such thing as too many dogs.”

Project Management

While occasionally helping each other with any given project, either Tyler Ogden or Ryan Decker is assigned to every project as the “Principal in Charge”. They are also the Project Manager on some projects, but Intermountain Construction employs several project managers with a proven record of success. Some with a college degree in Construction Management, all with experience working on multiple Intermountain projects, our Project Managers are well trained in the mission, philosophy, and exceptional standards set by Intermountain’s principals.

Ryan Decker

Senior Project Manager

Ryan started with Intermountain Construction in 2000 after receiving a degree in construction management from UVSC. While with Intermountain Construction Ryan has worked on many of the iconic buildings in the Sun Valley area including the SV Golf and Nordic Center, the SV Inn, the SV Pavilion, Dollar Lodge, and multiple custom homes. Outside of working with Intermountain Construction Ryan has pursued projects in Jackson WY, Montana, Nebraska, and New York. In addition to working as a general contractor, Ryan also owned and operated a cabinet shop in SE Idaho for several years. His experience in working in multiple regions and with multiple designers brings valuable insight and direction to the projects that Intermountain Construction works on. While away from work Ryan enjoys travel, cooking, collecting whiskey, and adventure motorcycle riding.

Superintendents

Several of our superintendents hired by Intermountain Construction, have over 20 years of experience. Their wisdom and experience is invaluable, not only in constructing projects to our high standards, but also in training a younger group of superintendents and assistant superintendents for the years ahead.
